Teachers at The Cooperative Preschool work in a friendly, supportive, collaborative environment. There is ample prep time, assessment time, time to
attend events, professional development hours, and collaboration time included in the teaching salary.
Position Currently Open: Preschool Team Teacher to teach:
3-4’s class – Tuesday, Thursday - 9:30 to 12:00 (16 students)
4-5’s class – Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:00-12:00 (16 students)
3-4-5’s class – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 12:30-2:45 (16 students)
Mondays: 9:00 -2:45
Tuesdays: 9:30 - 2:45
Wednesdays: 9:30 - 2:45
Thursdays: 9:30 - 12:00
Fridays: 9:00 - 12:00
(Teachers are expected to be at school at least 30 minutes before the start of class - part of their paid prep time)
All of these classes meet in the same classroom - there are never more than 16 children in the school at any one time.
Position Requirements
Bachelor degree in related field or working towards a degree in a related field
Boise City Child Care License, Current CPR/FA (these can be obtained upon hire and are paid for by the school)
Lead teacher experience
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with teaching team member, director and families
Computer literate
Present professional demeanor
Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
Able to maintain confidentiality of work related to students and families
Strong organizational skills
Work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Detail oriented while being able to use time effectively
