We are hiring a Preschool Co-Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year.

 

The Cooperative Preschool is a small part time NAEYC accredited preschool in its 53rd year in operation. As a cooperative, parents and educational staff work together to create a rich program for learning. There is one parent in the classroom supporting our two co-teachers every day so our adult/child ratios are low and teachers and children have a lot of support. Our curriculum is play and project based. The Cooperative Preschool school year runs late August – May. Teachers work in a friendly, supportive, collaborative environment. There is ample prep time, assessment time, time to attend events, professional development hours, and collaboration time included in the teaching salary. 

 

Position: Preschool Co-Teacher to teach:

  • 3-4’s class – Tuesday, Thursday - 9:30 to 1:30 (16 students)

  • 4-5’s class – Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:30 to 1:30 (16 students)

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in related field or CDA

  • Boise City Child Care License, Current CPR/FA (these can be obtained upon hire)

  • Lead teacher experience

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with teaching team member, director and families

  • Must be computer literate

  • Must present professional demeanor 

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Must be detail oriented while being able to use time effectively
